Coming Up With a Title for Book #1

GENRE:  The book is humorous fantasy / science fiction for young adults and adults.

3d-cover-03.1PLOT:  A young god named Bernie graduates from God School and lands his dream job:  he is a universe builder.  Unfortunately, he encounters problems from Billy, a former school rival who is out to sabotage Bernie’s universe and get him fired.  Bernie is aided by his friends Suzie and Lenny, who do their best to help.  The plot moves through twists and turns that even a god could never have foreseen.  (More info on the book here and the prologue is here.)

PROCESS:  I created a list of title ideas and then asked people (Twitter, Facebook, and friends) to vote on them.  This is the list.  Many titles were actually suggested by the voters.

The titles with the tiny starstars were the favorites.  I’m sure you’ll agree some of these titles are wonderful.  And some of you may think I missed the mark when I chose The Universe Builders: Bernie and the Putty.

But, I had fantastic input from lots of wonderful people, and I wouldn’t change a thing.   🙂
