Help Me Decide…

There are lots of stories in my head.  I’m hoping you’ll help me decide what to write next.

If you don’t know already, this is a little about my books:

GENRE(s):  young adult fantasy / science fiction, fantasy, science fiction

SYNOPSIS:  A young god named Bernie graduated from God School with his degree in Universe Building.  He wasn’t the smartest kid in school, but he did get his dream job working for The Business, which is responsible for creating the many universes the gods depend on for their very existence.  You see, the plateau where the gods live is too small for crops or manufacturing; everything they need has to come from the universes they create.  If  one of those universes stops producing, the gods become very concerned.  That’s where Bernie comes in.  He’s a Troubleshooter.  When there’s a problem with one of those ‘broken’ universes, Bernie is supposed to fix it and get the people back to work producing their products.   (For more on the previous books, click here.)

Four Stories to Choose From…

Each of the worlds below has a problem, and it’s Bernie’s job to fix the problem and get everything back to normal.  Unfortunately, if Bernie doesn’t resolve the issues quickly, the gods are likely to wipe out all the people on the planet and re-populate it with a different species that will be ‘more compliant’ or ‘more efficient.’  That, of course, would upset Bernie, who, unlike most gods, actually cares about the people on these worlds.

As you’ll see below, I’m pitting Bernie against a variety of opponents.  After finishing Bernie and the Wizards, I realized it was fun to explore ideas like gods vs. wizards, so you’ll see that idea repeated here.  And, of course, each book will continue to have multiple subplots and brain-ticklers to keep them interesting.  And, we’ll have opportunities to cross over between the world of the gods and the world Bernie’s trying to fix.

Thank you for helping me decide.
